Kelly Williams Killed in Head-On Crash on U.S. 385 in Hartley County

Hartley County, Texas (April 18, 2022) – One of the two people who died Sunday night following a two-vehicle crash in Hartley County has been identified as Kelly Williams, 29, of Lewisville.

The deadly crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on April 17 on U.S. 385.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Williams was driving a Mazda CX5 northbound on U.S. 385 when she drifted into the opposite lane to pass other vehicles.

For an unknown reason, the Mazda collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander.

Williams was transported to the hospital in Dumas, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The Highlander driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
