Child Injured After Truck Hits Go-Kart at County Road 317 and County Road 319 in Comanche County

Child Hospitalized after Comanche County Crash at County Road 317 and County Road 319

Comanche County, Texas (May 11, 2023) – A 10-year-old  child was injured after a collision between a pickup truck and go-kart in Comanche County on Wednesday evening, according to a report released by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened at about 5:00 p.m. May 10 Wednesday in the area of County Road 317 and County Road 319.

As per the DPS report, the pickup was traveling south on CR 319 while the child was driving a go-kart eastbound on CR 317.

The child reportedly failed to stop at the intersection, causing the truck to hit the go-kart.

The child suffered incapacitating injuries and was airlifted to Cook’s Children’s Medical Center in Ft. Worth.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
