Coleman B. Ewing Killed in Midland County Motorcycle Crash on Business Interstate 20

Midland County, Texas (December 31, 2020) – One person was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon in Midland County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:57 p.m., December 29, on Business Interstate 20, a quarter of a mile east of Midland.

According to a preliminary investigation, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on BI 20 while Coleman B. Ewing, 28, of Midland, was traveling behind the Silverado.

Ewing failed to control his speed and rear-ended the Silverado that had slowed down to turn left.

Ewing was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Silverado driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
