One Killed in San Antonio VIA Bus Crash on Commercial Avenue and Grosvenor Boulevard

San Antonio, Texas (January 19, 2021) – One person was killed Sunday night in a traffic collision involving a VIA bus in San Antonio’s South Side, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m., January 17, in the area of Commercial Avenue and Grosvenor Boulevard.

Police said a car ran a red light at a stop sign at the intersection and was t-boned by the bus.

The impact ejected the driver of the car. The car landed on him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people on the bus sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
