Connor Steyer, Jorrick Battle Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Dallas North Tollway in Dallas County

Connor Steyer and Jorrick Battle ID’d as 2 Drivers Killed in Dallas County Crash on Dallas North Tollway near Wycliff Avenue

Dallas County, Texas (August 27, 2023) – The two drivers who died following a wrong-way crash early Saturday morning in Dallas County have been identified as Connor Steyer, 27, of Richardson, and Jorrick Battle, 55, of Houston.

The deadly crash happened just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, on the Dallas North Tollway near Wycliff Avenue.

Authorities said a 2019 Mazda CX5, driven by Steyer, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the Tollway when the Mazda collided head-on with an oncoming 2017 Ford F150, driven by Battle.

Steyer and Battle were declared dead at the scene by the Dallas County Medical Examiner.

Steyer was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
