Cyclist Struck, Killed by DCTA Train on Brinker Road in Denton

Man Killed in Denton Bicycle Accident with DCTA Train on Brinker Road

Denton, Texas (July 23, 2019) – A cyclist was killed Monday evening after being struck by a DCTA train in Denton, according to the police.

The deadly accident occurred around 7:10 p.m. July 22, in the 2300 block of Brinker Road, north of DCTA’s MedPark station.

Police said an A-train was heading southbound when it struck a bicyclist who was heading southbound on the A-train Rail Trail that runs alongside the commuter rail.

The crossing arms were down before the crash.

The bicyclist was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
