Danielle Eppard Hit, Killed by Vehicle on SH 36 in Callahan County

Danielle Elaine Eppard Killed in Callahan County Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 36

Callahan County, Texas (February 20, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed Sunday evening in a crash in Callahan County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 6:54 p.m., February 19, on State Highway 36, two miles east of Cross Plains.

DPS said 38-year-old Danielle Elaine Eppard, from Cross Plains, was walking in the roadway when they were struck by an eastbound vehicle.

The roadway was dark at the time of the crash.

Eppard was killed in the crash.

The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was treated and released.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
