Dewayne Foreman Killed in Houston Bicycle Accident Involving HPD Cruiser on N Wayside Drive

Houston, Texas (October 9, 2019) – A bicyclist was hit and killed by a Houston police cruiser Tuesday night in Houston, according to the Houston police.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, October 8, in the 6900 block of N Wayside Drive.

Police said the officer was responding to a suicide call when he struck 29-year-old Dewayne Foreman who was crossing N Wayside Drive in his bicycle.

The impact caused Foreman, who was wearing a white shirt, to go airborne and he was declared dead at the scene.

The police cruiser didn’t have lights and siren at the time of the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.
