55-Year-Old Killed, Two Teens Injured in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash at North Westmoreland Road and Canada Drive

Dallas, Texas (December 30, 2020) – A 55-year-old man was killed, and two teenagers were injured on Monday in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around midnight, December 28, at the intersection of North Westmoreland Road and Canada Drive.

Police said an 18-year-old male was driving a sedan southbound on Westmoreland while a 17-year-old boy was driving a pickup truck westbound on Canada Drive and entered the intersection with a green light.

The 18-year-old ran a red light at the intersection, and the sedan was broadsided by the pickup truck.

The impact caused the sedan to rotate counter-clockwise, hit a pole, and flip onto its top.

A 55-year-old male passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Both drivers were taken to local hospitals with unknown injuries.

The Dallas police are investigating the crash.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
