Cynthia Martinez Killed in Big Spring Bicycle Accident on Interstate 20

Big Spring, Texas (October 20, 2020) – The bicyclist who was killed Sunday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Big Spring has been identified as Cynthia Martinez, 30, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:30 a.m., October 18, in the 200 block of North East 12th Street (the access road on the south side of Interstate 20).

Police said Martinez was riding her bicycle eastbound on the service road when she was struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are looking for the suspect.
