Red Oak, Texas (December 8, 2021) – A person was killed Monday evening in a bicycle accident in Red Oak, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:30 p.m., December 6, in the 500 block of N. IH-35E southbound service road.

Police said a bicycle failed to yield the right of way while attempting to cross two lanes of traffic and was struck by a pickup truck.

The bicyclist, Dewey Wheatley Lindsey, 65, of Glenn Heights, was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead Tuesday morning.

No additional information regarding this accident was available.

The police are investigating the crash.
