1 Injured in San Antonio Car Crash at Medical Drive and Horizon Hill Boulevard

San Antonio, Texas (February 17, 2019) – A head-on accident involving a hit-and-run driver left one person hospitalized early Saturday morning in San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio police, the incident occurred just after 1 a.m. February 16, at Medical Drive and Horizon Hill Boulevard.
Police said a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Medical Drive when he drifted into the eastbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming Crown Victoria car. The impact caused the car to travel off the side of the roadway and slammed into a sign.
The driver of the car had to be helped by the emergency crews, who used the Jaws of Life to pull them out.
The victim was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene after the incident .
The search for the hit-and-run driver is ongoing.
