Driver Killed After Rear-Ending Tractor Trailer on South Freeway in Fort Worth

Driver Killed in Fort Worth Crash on South Freeway

Fort Worth, Texas (May 27, 2023) – A driver died after rear-ending a tractor-trailer early Tuesday morning in Fort Worth, according to authorities.

The deadly crash occurred in the 3300 block of South Freeway on Tuesday, May 23.

Authorities said a pickup truck was traveling in the southbound lanes when the driver failed to control speed and crashed into the back of the tractor-trailer that had stopped behind a separate accident.

The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
