Driver Killed After Truck Collides with Train on U.S. Route 59 in Montgomery County

Driver Killed in Montgomery County Crash on U.S. Route 59 near Houston

Montgomery County, Texas (February 13, 2023) – A driver died after a truck collided with a train near Houston in East Montgomery County early Monday morning, according to police.

The crash happened at around 7:30 a.m. on U.S. Route 59.

Police said the truck collided with the train. After the crash, 16 train cars derailed while the truck sustained major damage.

The driver of this truck died in the crash.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
