Elderly Woman Critically Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on I-10 and Computer Drive

San Antonio, Texas (November 24, 2019) – A woman in her 70s was hit by a car Saturday afternoon in San Antonio, a local news source reported.

The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of I-10 and Computer Drive.

Police said a 41-year-old man hit a fire hydrant and a speed limit sign before hitting the woman, who was not in a crosswalk.

The driver told police his car malfunctioned just before the accident.

The woman was rushed to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries where she underwent surgery.

Investigators said charges against the driver are pending.
