Sylvia Valencia Killed in Gonzales Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 80 near CR 472

Gonzales, Texas – According to the Texas DPS, a woman was killed and a man was injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Gonzales.

The fatal crash happened around 11:30 p.m., December 16, on SH 80 near CR 472.

DPS said Sylvia Valencia, 47, from San Marcos, was driving a car southbound when she crashed into a northbound BMW.

Valencia was killed in the crash.

The BMW driver, a 21-year-old man, was taken to a Gonzales hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

The crash remains under investigation.
