Erasmo Castillo Killed in Agua Dulce Train-Pedestrian Accident on County Road 70

Agua Dulce, Texas (November 29, 2023) – An elderly man using a walker was hit and killed by a train on Tuesday in Agua Dulce, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 4:45 p.m., November 28, on County Road 70.

Authorities said 75-year-old Erasmo Castillo, of Agua Dulce, was crossing the train tracks while the arms were down when he was struck by a train.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The railroad crossing at FM 70 and CR 38 in Agua Dulce was closed for several hours.

An investigation is underway.
