Bernard Redo Killed in Dickinson Pedestrian Accident at California Avenue and E. 30th Street; Gerado Aguilar Arrested

Dickinson, Texas (June 8, 2020) – A 58-year-old man was hit and killed by a suspected drunk driver on Saturday in Dickinson, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred around 9:01 p.m., June 6, at the intersection of California Avenue and E. 30th Street.

Police said Bernard Redo, 58, of Dickinson, was struck by a truck driven by Gerado Aguilar at the intersection.

Bystanders administered CPR compressions on Redo until paramedics arrived at the scene. Redo was taken to Clear Lake Hospital, where he later died.

Aguilar stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. He was arrested and has been charged with driving while intoxicated.

An investigation is underway.
