Former Dallas Councilwoman Carolyn Davis Killed in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Ledbetter Drive near Horizon Drive

Dallas, Texas (July 17, 2019) – Former Dallas councilwoman Carolyn Davis was killed and her daughter was critically injured Monday night in a DUI crash in Dallas, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred on Monday, July 15, on Ledbetter Drive near Horizon Drive.

Police said 36-year-old Jonathan Moore, was driving a Mazda SUV when he crossed over the median and struck Davis’ Cutlass Ciera.

Davis, 57, was killed in the crash. Her daughter, Melissa Davis-Nunn, 26, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said Moore, has a lengthy criminal history and a background search reveals he had at least four previous DWI charges. He remains in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was placed under arrest.

The crash remains under investigation.
