Former Florida Congressman Allen West Injured in Motorcycle Crash near Waco

Allen West, Candidate For Chair Of Texas GOP, Injured in Waco Motorcycle Crash

Waco, Texas (May 24, 2020) – A former congressman and current candidate for chairman of the Republican Party of Texas was injured on Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near Waco, according to officials.

The crash happened on May 23. The exact location of the crash was not mentioned in the report.

Officials said Allen West was on his motorcycle when a car cut him off on the road, causing him to crash into another motorcycle.

West was airlifted to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.

West is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and was a U.S. House representative for Florida from 2011 to 2013.

He is currently running for chairman of the Texas GOP.
