Four Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident at Azalea and Lowes Drives in Temple; Benjamin William Arrested

Temple, Texas (April 14, 2020) – A mother and her three children were injured Saturday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in Temple, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 4:45 p.m. on April 11, at the intersection of Azalea and Lowes drives.

According to the report, Benjamin Williams, 18, of Temple, was driving an Audi sedan when he struck a Chevrolet Malibu, occupied by the mother and her children, at the intersection.

The mother was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The children were also taken to the hospital with non-life- threatening injuries.

Williams fled the scene after the accident. Police later found him in the backyard of a residence and was arrested. He was taken to the Bell County Jail, where he was charged with an accident involving serious bodily injury, a third-degree felony.

The crash remains under investigation.
