Four Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 124 in Chambers County

2 Women and 2 Men Killed in Chambers County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 124 

Chambers County, Texas (June 8, 2020) – Four people were killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision in Chambers County, according to troopers.

The fatal crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. June 7, on Highway 124, near Fig Ridge Road just south of Winnie.

DPS troopers said a 20-year-old woman was driving a Suburban southbound on the highway when a Honda drifted across the center line and crashed head-on into the Suburban.

The woman was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The Honda driver, a 17-year-old man with his two passengers, a 19-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman, were also killed in the crash.

The occupants of the Honda were not wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation.
