Geraldine Wilcox Hylander Killed in Hays County Car Crash on FM 973

Hays County, Texas (October 15, 2019) – A woman was killed Monday morning in a head-on crash in Hays County, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m., October 14, on Farm to Market Road 973, west of Buda.

DPS said a Freightliner was heading westbound when its tires went off the road and the driver lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and crashed head-in onto a Chevy Impala.

The Impala driver, Geraldine Wilcox Hylander, 80, of Buda, was killed in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
