Woman Killed in Arlington Hit-and-Run Crash on I-20 at Matlock Road

Arlington, Texas (November 27, 2019) – A woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Arlington, according to the police.

The deadly accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 20 at Matlock Road.

Police said they received a 911 call about a woman who was walking on the shoulder of the freeway. A patrol officer who had seen the woman walking turned around to check on her and found that she had been hit.

The vehicle that hit the woman fled the scene.

The woman was killed in the crash. Her name has not been disclosed.

Two eastbound lanes of I-20 were closed following the crash.

An investigation is underway.
