Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car on Sam Houston Tollway in SW Houston

One Killed in SW Houston Pedestrian Accident on Sam Houston Tollway near Beechnut

Houston, Texas (December 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle Saturday night in southwest Houston, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened around 11:10 p.m., December 11, on the Sam Houston Tollway near Beechnut.

According to the report, the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene after the accident.

The southbound traffic was diverted for over two hours.

An investigation is underway.
