Glafira Ann Rodriguez-Flores Killed in Waco Two-Vehicle Crash at N 9th Street and Jefferson Avenue

Waco, Texas (October 13, 2020) – A woman was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash in Waco, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:45 p.m., October 10, at the intersection of N 9th Street and Jefferson Avenue.

Police said a 2007 Buick SUV ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a 2008 Cadillac DTS driven by Glafira Ann Rodriguez-Flores, 29.

Rodriguez-Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 30-year-old female passenger in the Cadillac was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

A 4-year-old child, who was also a passenger in the Cadillac, was taken to McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple with serious injuries.

The juvenile driver of the Buick fled the scene after the crash, but was found and taken to the Bill Logue Juvenile Detention Center. He has been charged with failure to stop and render aid, causing death, and with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The police are investigating the crash.
