Woman Killed in Denton Train-Pedestrian Accident near Bell Avenue and East Hickory Street

Denton, Texas (June 10, 2021) – According to the authorities, a woman was fatally hit by a train Wednesday morning in Denton.

The deadly accident happened around 6:00 a.m., June 9, near Bell Avenue and East Hickory Street.

Authorities said the woman was struck by a Union Pacific freight train on the train tracks.

The train was heading northbound to Oklahoma at the time of the accident.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
