Good Samaritan Hit, Killed by Vehicle on I-10 in Houston

One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 (Katy Freeway) at Fry Road

Houston, Texas (March 27, 2021) – A Good Samaritan was hit and killed by a vehicle Friday morning in Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:00 a.m., March 26, at the intersection of Katy Freeway (Interstate 10) and Fry Road.

Police said a man witnessed a pickup truck run off the freeway and hit a tree. He got out of his vehicle to check on the pickup driver but was run over by another vehicle on the freeway.

The victim was killed in the crash. His name has not been released. The driver who hit him remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
