Gregory Anthony Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 105 in Jasper County

Gregory Anthony Airlifted after Jasper County Motorcycle Crash on Highway 105 near Evadale

Jasper County, Texas (September 28, 2022) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital after a collision with a truck in Jasper County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, on Highway 105 in front of J-3 Metals, just south of Evadale.

DPS said Anthony was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Highway 105 when a 2007 Hummer SUV hauling a flatbed trailer pulled out of a private driveway in front of him.

Anthony ultimately slammed into the truck.

Anthony sustained head trauma and was airlifted to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment.

The driver of the SUV, Steven Syvertsen, 71, of Silsbee, was uninjured and was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.

The crash remains under investigation.
