Gustavo Cervantes Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 1925 in Elsa

Gustavo Cervantes ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Elsa Crash on FM 1925

Elsa, Texas (October 16, 2022) – The motorcyclist who died early Saturday morning in a crash north of Elsa has been identified as Gustavo Vasquez Cervantes, 68, of La Villa.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, at around 12:38 a.m. Saturday, October 15, a blue pickup was heading southbound on Mile 4 W when the driver of the blue pickup failed to yield and struck a Silver Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on FM 1925.

Following the collision, the Chevrolet became disabled on the eastbound lanes of FM 1925 but the driver of the blue pickup fled the scene.

Moments later, a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Cervantes, approached the scene, traveling eastbound on FM 1925 and slammed into the Chevrolet.

Cervantes was transported to Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.
