Injuries Reported in San Marcos Train Accident near South Guadalupe Street and MLK Drive

San Marcos, Texas (September 6, 2019) – Injuries were reported in a train collision Thursday afternoon in San Marcos, according to a local news source.

The collision happened just after 4:00 p.m. September 5, near the intersection of South Guadalupe Street and MLK Drive.

As per the report, the collision involved a train and a vehicle.

Officials said there were no critical injuries in the crash.

The crash closed multiple intersections near The Square. CM Allen Parkway and Hopkins Street were also closed.

Motorists were urged to use Aquarena Springs Drive or Wonder World Drive when getting around town.

An investigation is underway.
