Woman Killed in Car Accident on S Garfield Street in Midland

47-Year-Old Woman Killed in Midland Two-Vehicle Crash on S Garfield Street

Midland, Texas (June 29, 2020) – According to a local news source, a 47-year-old woman was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Midland.

The deadly crash happened in the 1800 block of S Garfield Street.

Police said a car was heading northbound on the street when it tried to turn sharply into the southbound lanes, spun out of control and was hit by a pickup truck.

The woman who was a passenger in the car was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where she later died. The car driver was also taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The pickup driver sustained minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
