Isaias Garcia Killed, Juana Macias and Christina Hernandez Injured in El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 at Resler

El Paso, Texas (June 21, 2022) – One person was killed, and two others were injured early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in El Paso, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., June 20, on Interstate 10 West at Mile Marker 12 (Resler).

Authorities said Garcia was driving a 2005 Ford Mustang and was stopped on the interstate when he was struck by a westbound 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Juana Elizabeth Caballero Macias, 29, of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Garcia was killed in the crash.

Macias and her passenger, Christina Hernandez, 23, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other information was available.

The Special Traffic Investigations (STI) are conducting the investigation.
