Jakob Lowry, Kacley Hazelwood, Keigen Cornell, and Emma Self Injured in Wise County Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 114 near CR 3330

Wise County, Texas (March 4, 2022) – Four people were injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Wise County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m., March 2, on Texas 114, near County Road 3330, just east of Bridgeport to Metroplex hospitals.

Authorities said a Toyota Corolla driven by Kacley Hazelwood, 20, was heading westbound on the highway when Hazelwood failed to control the vehicle’s speed and rear-ended a white Ford F-350 pickup.

Hazelwood was airlifted to Medical City in Denton with unknown injuries. Jakob Lowry, 19, was airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital for treatment.

Two other passengers in the Corolla, Keigen Cornell, 20, and Emma Self, 18, were taken to Wise Health System in Decatur for treatment.

The Ford driver, Danilo Arias, 33, was uninjured in the crash.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
