James Neuville Killed in Collision with Fire Engine on Alpine Road in Longview

James Neuville ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Longview Crash on Alpine Road near E. Ann Drive

Longview, Texas (September 3, 2022) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a fire truck in Longview on Thursday evening.

James Ray Neuville, 60, died in the crash that happened at about 6:35 p.m. Thursday, September 1, on Alpine Road near E. Ann Drive.

Neuville, a resident of Hallsville, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Alpine Road when a Longview Fire Department fire engine failed to yield right of way while turning onto East. Ann Drive

Neuville laid his motorcycle on the ground to avoid colliding with the fire engine.

Longview Fire personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to Neuville. He was then taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
