Jasin Mohamud Kaabo Killed in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on Northeast 24th Avenue near North Eastern Street

Amarillo, Texas (October 31, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Amarillo, according to the police.

The crash occurred around 10:32 a.m., October 30, on Northeast 24th Avenue near North Eastern Street.

Police said Jasin Mohamud Kaabo, 44, of Amarillo, was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry westbound on Northeast 24th Avenue when he lost control of the car, slid into the eastbound lanes and hit a pickup driven by a 52-year-old woman.

Kaabo was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
