Javier Deleon Killed in Edinburg Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Expressway 281

Edinburg, Texas (February 8, 2022) – A man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in Edinburg, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:00 p.m., February 6, near the 4900 block of U.S. Expressway 281.

Police said a Ford Mustang was traveling northbound when the driver changed lanes and collided with a Dodge Ram. 

The impact caused the Mustang to roll over, and it ended up on the eastbound side of the expressway.

The driver of the Mustang, Javier Deleon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dodge driver was taken to Edinburg Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
