Jeffrey Taylor Killed in Alvord Two-Vehicle Crash on US 81 near CR 2395

Alvord, Texas – A man was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Alvord, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 9:37 p.m., March 9, at the U.S. 81/287 crossover near County Road 2395, just south of Punjabi Dhabba.

DPS said Jeffrey Evan Taylor, 44, of Sunset, was driving a 2022 GMC Sierra pickup while 27-year-old Singh Lovepreet of Ozone Park, New York was driving a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia semi across the northbound lanes. The trailer towed by the semi was partially in the northbound lanes when it was struck by the GMC.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

 The crash remains under investigation.
