Jo Ellen Harris Injured in Decatur Two-Vehicle Crash at U.S. 380 and County Road 3001

Decatur, Texas (July 27, 2019) – A woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at a Decatur intersection, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The crash took place around 12:15 p.m. July 24, in the area of U.S. 380 and County Road 3001.

Authorities said Jo Ellen Harris, of Decatur, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on County Road 3001 approaching U.S. 380. She disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by a 2013 Kenworth semi-truck which was heading eastbound on U.S. 380.

The truck went through a fence and into a pasture on the south side of U.S. 380.

Harris was taken to a Denton hospital in unknown condition.

The truck driver, Randall W. Holcomb of Lubbock, was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
