Jose Luna Killed in Head-On Crash on I-35 in San Antonio

Jose Luna Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 at Highway 281

San Antonio, Texas (July 6, 2021) – Three people were killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:20 a.m., July 4, on Interstate 35 at Highway 281 interchange.

Police said two men in a white Ford F-150 drove off from a shooting near East Martin and North St. Mary’s streets downtown, and they were firing gunshots toward the V Lounge nightclub.

A park police officer tried to stop the truck as it was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-35, but the truck continued and crashed head-on into an SUV.

The two men in the Ford, Bryan Solis, 19, and Joel Terriquez, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene. One of them might have had a gunshot wound.

The SUV driver, 33-year-old Jose Luna, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The police are conducting the investigation.
