Jose Izaguirre Dies in Laredo Motorcycle Crash on Bob Bullock Loop

Laredo, Texas (June 2, 2019) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle while riding a motorcycle on Wednesday night in Laredo, according to a police report.

The crash happened at about 9:17 p.m. May 29, in the 5000 block of Bob Bullock Loop.

Police said Jose Izaguirre, a UISD police officer, was riding a black Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was hit by a car.

The responding medics transported Izaguirre to Laredo Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The involved car driver fled the scene but was shortly after located and arrested. The suspect, identified as Juan Raymundo Cervantes, 57, of Rio Bravo, is facing charges of accident with serious bodily injury, death.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
