Lacy Connell ID’d as San Angelo Woman Killed in Midland Crash on State Highway 158
Midland County, Texas (April 28, 2019) – The woman who was killed Friday morning in a two-car crash near Midland has been identified as Lacy M. Connell, 29,  of San Angelo, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The tragic accident happened Friday, April 26 on State Highway 158, seven miles east of Midland.
The DPS said Connell was driving her 2018 Nissan Titan on State Highway 158  when she failed to control speed and rear-ended a 2018 Western Star truck operated by Ted Chavez, 39, of Edcouch.
Connell was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Chavez was uninjured. His passenger Roberto J. Flores, 52, of El Paso, sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Midland Memorial.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
