Lena Jackson Killed in Rockdale Two-Vehicle Crash on US 77

Rockdale, Texas (September 14, 2021) – A woman was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash about two miles south of Rockdale, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on September 13, on US 77.

DPS said Lena Jean Jackson, 51, of Rockdale, was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram truck southbound on the highway when she turned left into the path of a northbound Ford F-250 truck, resulting in a collision.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ford driver, a 37-year-old Rockdale man and his passenger, a 36-year-old Buckholts woman, were taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
