Leon Jay Harvey Killed in Pin-In Crash on MoPac Expressway in Austin

Leon Jay Harvey Killed in Austin Car Crash on MoPac Expressway near West Parmer Lane

Austin, Texas (January 14, 2020) – The man who was killed Saturday morning in a traffic accident in Austin has been identified as Leon Jay Harvey, 42, according to the police.

The fatal crash took place at about 11:50 a.m. January 11, in the 12600 block of North MoPac Expressway, near West Parmer Lane.

Police said Harvey was driving a Toyota Prius southbound on Mopac when he struck a barrier while attempting to take the exit.

The force of the impact caused the Prius to re-enter the roadway, and it was hit by a Ford F-150 pickup.

Harvey was pinned in his vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.

The Ford driver was uninjured and remained on scene.
