Leonard McGee Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 59 in Shelby County

Leonard McGee Hospitalized after Shelby County Crash on U.S. Highway 59 near County Road 2624
Shelby County, Texas (February 22, 2019) – A driver was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on a highway in Shelby County near Tenaha, according to the DPS.
The crash was reported at about 1:30 p.m. February 19, on Highway 59 near County Road 2624.
DPS said a 2018 Freightliner truck and a semi-trailer rig were traveling southbound on the highway. The big rig was being followed by a 2016 GMC pickup operated by 26-year-old Leonard McGee, of Joaquin.
McGee failed to control his speed and rear-ended the big rig.
McGee was taken to a Nacogdoches hospital in unknown condition.
The big rig driver was uninjured in the crash.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
