Man Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 near Grand Avenue Parkway

Austin, Texas (July 13, 2023) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in far-north Austin, according to the troopers.

The deadly accident happened around 3:40 a.m., July 12, on Interstate 35 near Grand Avenue Parkway.

Troopers said a Toyota Camry struck a man who was walking on the highway.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

The accident closed the highway for several hours.

The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
