Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Enrique M. Barrerra Parkway
San Antonio, Texas (March 14, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver on Wednesday in San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened on Wednesday, February 13, in the 800 block of Enrique M. Barrerra Parkway.
Police said a woman in her 30s was driving when she struck the man from behind and also hit a utility pole. The man was swept underneath the car and dragged for about 150 to 200 feet to a street located between Southwest 38th and 39th streets.
The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been disclosed.
The woman was taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She is being investigated for intoxication manslaughter, and a mandatory blood draw was arranged.
The police are investigating the crash.
