Driver Killed in San Antonio 18-Wheeler Crash on Loop 1604 near Wiseman Boulevard

San Antonio, Texas (March 27, 2020) – A man in his 30s was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler in San Antonio’s far West Side, police said.

The fatal crash took place just before 8:00 a.m. in the southbound access road of Loop 1604 near the Wiseman Boulevard exit.

Police said the man was driving a car at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler. The truck was on the side of the access road with its hazard lights on.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the Wiseman Boulevard exit from Loop 1604 southbound and two lanes of the access road for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
