Man Killed in Wrong-Way Car Accident near Mount Houston Road

Man Dies, 2 Injured in Houston Car Crash near Mount Houston Road
Houston, Texas (April 8, 2019) – A man was killed and two other people were injured early Sunday morning in a car accident in north Harris County, authorities said.
The deadly crash happened near 249 and West Mount Houston Road Sunday, April 7.
According to Witnesses, a black GMC SUV was heading eastbound on the roadway when for an unknown reason it entered the westbound lanes while traveling into oncoming traffic.
The black GMC then collided head-on with a gray Chevrolet Impala that was heading westbound.
The driver of the gray Impala, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was declared deceased at the scene.
A Hispanic male, who was the driver of the black GMC, sustained unknown injuries and was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in good condition. His passenger was also transported to Ben Taub Hospital with critical injuries.
Investigators said the driver of the black GMC was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He will be arrested and charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter after he is discharged from the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
