Man Pushing Shopping Cart Struck, Killed by Truck on Roosevelt Avenue in San Antonio

59-Year-Old Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Roosevelt Avenue at Genevieve Lane

San Antonio, Texas (April 4, 2020) – A 59-year-old man, who was pushing a shopping cart, was fatally hit by a vehicle Friday night in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened on Friday, April 3, in the 3700 block of Roosevelt Avenue at Genevieve Lane.

Police said the man was pushing a shopping cart in the southbound lane of Roosevelt Avenue when he was struck by a pickup truck.

The victim was taken to SAMMC, where he later died. His name has not been released.

The driver of the pickup remained at the scene after the accident.

Investigators said a poorly lit street and rainy weather conditions were factors in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
